  • Product Description
    FlexGuard® 2131 is a flexible, expandable sleeve that is both lightweight and rugged. Densely constructed of polyester, FlexGuard 2131 is specifically designed for the abrasion protection of automotive hoses, tubings and cables located in the engine compartment.

    Our unique manufacturing process combines different diameters of monofilament into the braiding process, achieving maximum installed coverage, thus providing superior abrasion resistance.

    Additionally, FlexGuard 2131 is particularly suited for use on hoses as the product conforms to tight bends without folding or bunching, providing an aesthetically pleasing finish.

    No visible degradation or alteration after being exposed to the following test cycles:
    • Immersion for 15s at 23°C, followed by a drying period of 24hrs at 150°C: motor oil, automatic transmission fluid, manual transmission oil.
    • Immersion for 48hrs at 70°C, followed by a drying period of 24hrs at 23°C: Urea of clean up Ad blue.
    • Immersion for 24hrs:
      • At 40°C, followed by a drying period of 4hrs at 23°C: for gazole, unloaded petrol 98, Std fuel C + 15% methanol, E85 bio ethanol.
      • At 70°C, followed by a drying period of 4hrs at 23°C, for windscreen washer.
      • At 118°C, by a drying period of 4hrs at 23°C, for engine coolant.
